February has been full of love both in our
school community and to others in need. This month the students collected food
items to send to Sahrawi refugees. The collection box was overflowing with food
donations showing the charitable actions of the students. Way to go!
Shortly after, the school participated in a
run for Save the Children Fund. Save the Children is a non-governmental
organization that advocates for children’s rights while providing support and
relief for those in developing countries. The run took place in Villa del Río
and it was fantastic to see everyone’s participation and their enthusiasm in
the event. We had such a fun time running and supporting such an honourable
cause. The organization of the event was led by Borja, our physical education
teacher, so due respect to all of the effort he put in to organizing the event
and also to all of the students for raising money and helping others.
Saint Valentine’s Day was celebrated at the
school on February 14th. The 4th ESO students sold
valentines cards, candy roses and candy
kebabs for their trip to London and Madrid in March. It was a successful fundraiser with
love felt by all.
Thanks to Neve Macrae for this February Post. Your work is amazing!
